Shovel-Ready Program
GPEC’s Shovel-Ready program helps communities and companies identify Greater Phoenix sites that can be developed quickly. Sites designated by GPEC as “shovel-ready” are:
- Available for sale or lease immediately
- Zoned commercial or industrial
- And ready to build with all utilities and other infrastructure in place.
This advance work creates a site where construction can begin rapidly, once a prospective business decides to develop a facility there.
By reducing the time it takes a company to begin construction of a new facility, GPEC and our partners are able to provide valuable savings to the business and job opportunities for local residents.
