About This Community

Apache Junction is located in Greater Phoenix’s East Valley, with easy access to freeways including the U.S. 60 and the Loop 202. The city serves as a gateway community to the Superstition Mountains and the mining communities of east central Arizona, yet is conveniently located just 15 miles from Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport and 30 miles from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

The city’s nearly 40,000 residents are the center of a trade area. With the annual influx of an additional 30,000 seasonal residents and winter visitors, Apache Junction remains a very desirable place to call home.

Central Arizona College – Superstition Mountain Campus and the Arizona operations of Blue Bell Ice Cream both call Apache Junction home, as does Portalis, a 7,700-acre master-planned community in Superstition Vistas where another 500,000 Arizonans are expected to live in the coming decades.
