Inc magazine recently named us one of the top 20 cities in the country for start-up companies. It’s no wonder – there are hundreds of resources for emerging technology companies and entrepreneurs here, including higher education programs dedicated to ensuring an idea is brought to life.

Did you know Greater Phoenix is dedicated to growing companies and a hotbed for entrepreneurship? Just a few stats include:

  • Nearly a dozen business incubators and accelerators call Greater Phoenix home.
  • We rank third in the country for entrepreneurs per 1,000 people.
  • At Arizona State University, there are approximately 11,000 students enrolled in entrepreneurship and there are more than 110 entrepreneur courses.
  • We have generous business tax incentives and other economic development programs for start-ups

For those starting out, besides the myriad of programs and resources available, there’s also a growing pool of capital. Although GPEC’s Innovation Council seeks to grow those resources, there’s no denying that starting a business here is easy compared to some of the other best technology cities– setting up an LLC can be accomplished in less than a month and with very little money, expedited plan review and permitting process as well as  operational costs approximately 40 percent lower than they are in California.

Outside of work, our 300+ days of sunshine allow the most adventurous at heart the ability to play sports, mountain climb, hike, bike and cycle daily…all year long. The arts and culture scene is taking off like wildfire and the dining and nightlife is second to none.
