Greater Phoenix Economic Council’s Community Building Consortium (CBC) is a partnership of private-sector real estate professionals working with the public sector toward increasing the quality and quantity of transactions in the region.

Goals and Objectives
GPEC formed the CBC to leverage the region’s real estate expertise towards addressing regional challenges, focusing on three areas:

Process Timeframes

Initiating a feedback mechanism to municipalities regarding the planning and development process.
Creating programs to reduce planning and permitting times for specific projects that develop quality employment- focused facilities.

Product Availability

Increasing awareness about the region’s building shortfall since 80%-85% of GPEC prospects require an existing facility.
Identifying potential solutions to address the region’s shortfall of existing facilities.

Economic Development Tools

Working with current GPEC prospects to resolve real estate issues and ensure deal closure.
Structuring financial and non-financial solutions to make the region more competitive.
