Breann Preston joined the Greater Phoenix Economic Council in July 2015 as a Senior Research Analyst. In this position she performs research and analysis in support of the organization’s long-term strategic initiatives and economic development goals.
Prior to working at GPEC, Breann worked as an economist for the Office of Employment and Population Statistics at the Arizona Department of Administration. As an economist for the state, she was involved in the analysis of employment statistics, economic impact studies and detailed industry workforce research. She has also been involved in projects targeted at vulnerable populations as a Peace Corps Volunteer and as a therapeutic teacher.
Breann completed her master’s degree in development economics at the University of Cambridge, UK. During her undergraduate studies, she attended the University of South Carolina and received a bachelor’s degree in economics and psychology with a minor in sociology.
