I decided to go to ASU because of the great Global Management program that they have.

I am an Arizona native from San Luis, a small border town south of Yuma.

What do you like to do in Greater Phoenix on the weekends?
Hitting the road and exploring different parts of Arizona with friends is always a good idea. If I stay in the region, I love to try out new coffee shops and restaurants.
What’s your go-to staycation spot and why?
Anywhere in Arizona, I try to visit different friends or family by going down to Tucson, Southwest to San Luis/Yuma, or up North to Flagstaff. Anywhere in Arizona feels like a vacation to me!
What’s your favorite restaurant and why?
I love El Otro Cafe and Tacos Huicho because of their authentic Mexican cuisines. It reminds me of home and of course, my grandma’s delicious cooking.
How do you stay “cool” in the Arizona summers?
I do this by exploring different coffee shops during the daytime and in early morning/nights I go for runs.
What do you like about our winters and why?
It is never too cold to spend it outside. I like going on hikes, different local events, concerts, farmers’ markets, school events, anything!
What do you love most about living in Greater Phoenix?
Getting from one city to another pretty quickly due to our low traffic is definitely a huge plus!
