Business Development Internship

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reach out via phone, social media and email to at least 80 corporate targets per week with the goal to gauge interest on the company’s expansion plans for Greater Phoenix
  • Compile data in GPEC internal CRM system to track activity – System training to be provided
  • Report back to GPEC MarStrat (Marketing and Strategy) team with feedback on responses
  • Participate in the discussion for future strategic outreach targets


  • College students in their junior or senior year
  • Major in economics, public policy, business, finance or related areas
  • Strong academic record
  • Previous work experience desired
  • Must have strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Team player and fast learner

Internship Details
Hourly wage begins at $13.50 per hour. The hours will be flexible to accommodate for school schedules. We prefer a commitment of 20 hours a week for the duration of the project. The current project timeline is approximately 3 months with the potential for an extension.
