Investor Engagement & Events Coordinator

Position Overview

The Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC) is seeking an Investor Engagement & Events Coordinator. This role will work in partnership with the Operations and Engagement team to support the 200+ business supporters referred to as investors. This includes investor and community engagement management, meeting prep, communication tracking, database hygiene, event logistics, and other duties as needed.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and execution of events and council meetings through the creation of registration pages and invite emails, RSVP management, printing of nametags and other materials, day of setup and tech support, etc.

    • Most events/meetings will be during business hours, however, a few may take place outside of typical work hours

  • Support communications and tasks related to investor membership renewals and investment benefits

  • Conduct research and data projects to help analyze department and organizational metrics

  • Update and maintain investor contact data in our CRM, Salesforce

  • Manage communications received in the engagement@gpec.org email inbox

Desired Candidate Qualifications

Recent graduates with some previous work or internship experience preferred, but any interested applicant will be considered. Candidate qualifications include:

  • Work experience in business, event planning, marketing, fundraising or related field preferred

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Extremely strong organizational skills and attention to detail, common sense, ability to tackle multiple projects at once and meet deadlines

  • Strong research capabilities and ability to write concise summaries

  • Proactive nature and takes initiative where needs arise

  • Discrete with sensitive information

  • Ability to learn new technology and software

  • Basic knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM is a plus

  • Experience with event planning and logistics a plus

  • Experience with corporate development or fundraising a plus

  • Highly motivated to learn, grow professionally and work in a fast-paced team environment

  • Open to giving and receiving feedback

  • Have special interest in nonprofit fundraising, community and public affairs, donor relations, and/or event management

Position Details

Salary starting at $56,000 plus benefits.
