Sheet metal manufacturer Freeberg’s new Eloy manufacturing facility will create up to 200 jobs at full scale
ELOY, Ariz. (Sept. 16, 2026) — The City of Eloy today celebrated the ribbon cutting of Freeberg Industrial Fabrication’s new 160,000-square-foot manufacturing facility, a site that more than doubles the company’s total footprint.
The event brought together leadership from Freeberg, Eloy City Council and Chamber of Commerce, the Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA) and the Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC), along with other local business and community partners.
“Our new 160,000-square-foot facility, our largest site to date, is a milestone moment that reflects the growth we’ve earned through the hard work of our entire team at Freeberg and Hill & Smith PLC,” said Marc F. Brown, CEO of Freeberg Industrial Fabrication. “We’re deeply grateful to the City of Eloy, the ACA and GPEC for their partnership and support throughout this process, and to Newport Commercial Partners and FCL for bringing our vision to life with a facility we’re genuinely proud to call home.”
Freeberg is a certified manufacturer of sheet metal and structural steel parts, providing a full range of manufacturing services including metal cutting, forming, welding, painting, and electro-mechanical assembly, as well as an engineering team that provides build-to-print planning and original engineering design services. Freeberg has the capacity to handle large, heavy parts made of carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals.
At the new site, located at 5610 N. Sunland Gin Rd, Eloy, AZ, 85131, Freeberg will assemble reciprocating engine power generation packages and other large-scale electro-mechanical systems. This will mirror the company’s Escondido, California operations with an enhanced capacity for handling large, heavy components.
The company has already hired 40 employees at its Eloy facility and expects to reach about 75 by the end of 2026 and 200 by the end of 2027. Interested applicants can view open positions at the company’s website.
“The opening of Freeberg is a proud milestone for Eloy. This facility represents more than new equipment and square footage. It represents new careers, new opportunities, and confidence in our community’s future,” said Eloy Mayor Andrew Sutton. “Freeberg chose Eloy because our residents and vision for growth are second to none. We’re excited to welcome them as a long-term partner, and even more excited for what this means for the families who will build their careers here. This is what forward momentum looks like for our city.”
In Eloy, Freeberg has new access to serve customers across the southwestern United States with increased production capabilities and reduced delivery times. Sitting along the Interstate 10 corridor between Greater Phoenix and Tucson, Freeberg has access to major transportation routes, labor markets and industrial development opportunities, aligning with the company’s goal of faster regional delivery and continued expansion in the southwest.
Freeberg Industrial Fabrication’s expansion into Eloy represents a capital investment of up to $12 million in equipment, facility fit-out, and related investments through 2026 and 2027.
Freeberg’s manufacturing and engineering capabilities align perfectly with Greater Phoenix’s value chain, positioning the company to form new partnerships and strengthen its presence in the Southwest,” said Greater Phoenix Economic Council President & CEO Christine Mackay. “Eloy has emerged as a key connector in the regional supply chain, linking businesses across Greater Phoenix, Tucson, and out-of-state markets. We congratulate Eloy on this expansion and the new jobs it will bring to the community.”
Freeberg’s new advanced facility strengthens Arizona’s position as a national leader in manufacturing and brings meaningful, high‑quality jobs to the community for Eloy and Pinal County residents,” said Sandra Watson, President and CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority. “We are grateful to Freeberg for its commitment to Arizona and look forward to supporting their long-term success in our state.
