Tell us about your company: 

Jonathan Alban: ACTIVATE is an IT solutions provider in Scottsdale using off-the-shelf and custom solutions coupled with our services to increase efficiency and profitability for our customers. 

What city in Arizona is your company located in? 

Alban: Scottsdale 

How did your company get started? 

Alban: With over 14 years of experience on the vendor side of technology sales and building channel programs for Fortune 500 organizations, I knew I could put together a team of some of the best people in the industry to help deliver better solutions, services, and end-user experience. 

Explain why you chose Greater Phoenix to build your company: 

Alban: I have yet to need a shovel for all this sunshine. Growing up in New York City, I lost track of how many shovels I broke. 

What makes your product unique and different? 

Alban: We offer zero cost training on all our solutions. We won’t leave you unsupported on a leap year, so our 24x7x366 support coverage is one-half to one-third the national average per network node. We provide free training for everyone and a lower cost support all around! 

What is the best thing about having your business in Greater Phoenix? 

Alban: There are great people everywhere, not just the customers. Great places to eat, amazing scenic views and it only snowed once in the past 10 years that we have lived here. 

In your opinion, why should someone build a career in Greater Phoenix? 

Alban: The balance between cost of living and quality of life is amazing. I have seen extensive growth across multiple verticals and there is so much to do in Arizona all year round. In February, I can eat breakfast outside, go snowboarding afterwards in Flagstaff, and make it back home by 6:30 p.m. to have dinner. 

What are three words you would use to describe the business community in Greater Phoenix? 

Alban: Welcoming, engaging, thriving
