What is your company mission?

Brad Bonomo: Compliance Testing is your expert partner in regulatory compliance, helping the innovators of tomorrow’s technology bring their products to the global market. 

What city in Arizona is your company located in?

Bonomo: Mesa 

How did you come up with the idea for your company?

Bonomo: The engineer who founded the company in 1963 was well known in Silicon Valley during the 1950s as an industry expert. He started spending his winters here in Arizona and his Electronic Device Manufacturer clients, who started opening offices here, preferred dropping off products at his house to save the flight to the Bay Area. Almost 60 years later, we’ve grown into a world class test lab that is one of only a handful of ISO17025/ISO17065 test labs and a Telecommunications Certification Body or TCB. 

Explain why you chose Greater Phoenix to grow your company:

Bonomo: Because it is home and growing more now than ever with all the emerging tech manufacturers moving here from California, Texas, Illinois and other places. 

Why is Greater Phoenix a great place to develop, implement and scale this technology?

Bonomo: #YesPHX! There has never been a better time to operate an emerging tech company in the valley! Due to the enormous growth in 5G, IoT, autonomous vehicles, electric vehicles, wireless, industrial equipment, smart city, smart home, MedTech and medical devices. There couldn’t be a better place where demand for our services will be growing. 

What makes your product/technology unique and different?

Bonomo: We are the only regulatory ISO Test Lab in Arizona that does what we do, and we’re currently the only test lab in the world accredited to perform remote ISSI/CSSI P25 field tests. In addition, we are one of only several hundred TCB’s in the world. We act as an ISO accredited agent on behalf of entities like the FCC, European Union, Canada, UK, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand. If you make an electronic device, you likely need to go through an organization like us in order to be able to sell it into any of these markets. 

What’s the tech community like in Greater Phoenix?

Bonomo: It is active, fast-growing, exciting and very community-oriented. There is a true aim for win-win synergies, with a lot of valley leaders supporting each other through innovative collaborations and non-transactional networking. 

In your opinion, why should someone work in tech in Greater Phoenix?

Bonomo: The growth! There is literally an endless amount of tech career paths and entrepreneurial opportunities
