Where are you originally from and why’d you decide to move to Arizona? 

Michigan. I moved out to Arizona to attend college and ended up falling in love with the weather and activities in Phoenix, Arizona.

What college/university did you graduate from and what’s your degree? 

Grand Canyon University – Honors Bachelor of Science in Marketing with a minor in graphic design and advertising.

Where do you currently work and what is your title? 

ON Semiconductor – Social Media Coordinator

What do you like to do in Greater Phoenix on the weekends? 

I love hiking, exploring new coffee shops, trying new restaurants and spending as much time outdoors as possible.

What’s your go-to staycation spot and why? 

Sedona! The red rocks are absolutely stunning, the views are incredible and the hikes are unbeatable! Sedona holds a special place in my heart, and I love the ability to explore it and discover new trails or activities.

What’s your favorite restaurant and why?

Diego Pops – Their brussels sprout nachos are seriously out of this world incredible!

How do you stay “cool” in the Arizona summers?

Heading to the pool, or getting out of Phoenix and taking a trip up to Flagstaff or Sedona!

What do you like about our winters and why?

The weather is seriously the best. I grew up in Michigan, and was tired of the cold and snow. I definitely don’t miss scraping ice off my car or waking up freezing cold. The fact that I can still get away without a jacket in December is insane, but I love it!

What do you love most about living in Greater Phoenix? 

The ability to be outdoors year-round. I love hiking and being outdoors. In addition, I love all the great food, amazing community I’ve found and the beauty of the desert!

Arizona is such a unique state and Phoenix itself is a happening city. There are always a ton of events, concerts, festivals, etc. going on. It’s fun to be in one of the fastest-growing cities in America and to experience the growth first-hand.
