Phoenix

Did you grow up in Arizona?

No

Where are you originally from and why’d you decide to move to Arizona?

I’m originally from California and moved to Phoenix for my MBA graduate program at Thunderbird School of Global Management.  I have fallen in love with the community and culture in Phoenix.

If you graduated from college, where did you attend and what was your degree?

Graduated from California State University Fresno with my B.S. in Agricultural Business Management. Currently enrolled at Thunderbird School of Global Management where I will graduate with my MBA in Global Marketing and Supply Chain Logistics.

Where do you currently work and what is your title?

I work at GPEC as a Digital Marketing Intern.

What do you like to do in Greater Phoenix on the weekends?

I love attending the downtown farmers market as well as going hiking with my friends.

What’s your favorite restaurant and why?

POMO Pizzeria in downtown has some of the most amazing food I have ever eaten. Best pizza and gelato in town.

What’s your go-to staycation spot and why?

Definitely pool side with a nice glass of wine. The pool is only a few feet from my house so it’s the optimal ‘staycation’ spot.

How do you stay “cool” in the Arizona summers?

Lots of iced coffee and a top of the line AC.

What do you like about our winters and why?

I haven’t experienced them but I am looking forward to some cool weather.

What do you love most about living in Greater Phoenix?

Everyone is so friendly and willing to take a moment to chat you up about their go-to restaurant spots or ask you how your day is going. You don’t really find that anywhere else. Phoenix has a great culture and lovely scenery that makes you forget about the hot summers. It’s well worth a visit or consideration as a place to call home.
