Where are you originally from and why’d you decide to move to Arizona?

Fairbanks, Alaska, I moved to Phoenix to attend Grand Canyon University.

If you graduated from college, where did you attend and what was your degree?

I currently attend Grand Canyon University and I’m working on a Bachelors of Art in Marketing and Advertising.

Where do you currently work and what is your title?

I currently work at Greater Phoenix Economic Council as a Digital Marketing Intern on the Marketing and Communications team.

What do you like to do in Greater Phoenix on the weekends?

I love to grab brunch at various restaurant around the valley. I am obsessed with Matt’s Big Breakfast and Scramble, definitely some of the best brunch spots in the Greater Phoenix.

What’s your favorite restaurant and why?

Easily Joyride Taco House. I live for their $2 happy hour tacos. The atmosphere in both locations is amazing.

What’s your go-to staycation spot and why?

I’ve always loved visiting the Fairmount Princess in Scottsdale. They have amazing events around the holidays. My personal favorite is Christmas at the Fairmount.

How do you stay “cool” in the Arizona summers?

The closest pool or lake. I also love to go window shopping in the summer.

What do you like about our winters and why?

I love the winters in Phoenix. They remind me a lot of Alaskan summers weather wise. I like that the weather is perfect enough to get by with just wearing a light jacket or long sleeve.

What do you love most about living in Greater Phoenix?

I love that there are always things to do, and that Greater Phoenix is centrally located in the sense that you can drive a couple of hours and be in some cool places, like the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, or Disneyland.

Greater Phoenix is such a diverse and growing area. It truly is the greatest place to live.
