Tell us a little about yourself:

I am a graduate of Arizona State University who received a B.A. in political science as well as film and media studies before spending a few years working in the podcasting industry. Originally from New Jersey, Phoenix has been my home since 2005.

What city or town do you live in?

Tempe.

Where are you originally from and what brought you to Greater Phoenix?

I am originally from New Jersey but moved to Greater Phoenix just after my 8th birthday. My mom is originally from here and so is her family, so it’s a homecoming that made starting a life here feel both familiar and yet like a new beginning.

Where do you currently work and what is your job title?

I work at the Greater Phoenix Economic Council as a Digital Marketing Intern.

What’s your favorite thing to do in Greater Phoenix on the weekends?

I typically spend my weekends in Mesa’s Asian District or Phoenix itself, exploring both the amazing collection of museums and its incredible food scene.

What’s your favorite local restaurant?

Tacos Sahuaro on 32nd St.

What’s something that has surprised you about Arizona?

Arizona’s reputation as a harsh desert conjures up images of Westerns, but what I didn’t realize when I moved here is the sheer environmental diversity the entire state offers. From Flagstaff’s lush forests to the jaw-dropping scenery of Sedona’s red rocks, Arizona has a little bit of the entire world inside it.

When a state’s anniversary falls on Valentine’s Day, how can you not love it?
