Bike, hike and attend sporting events
What’s your favorite restaurant and why?
Currently Gallo Blanco. The food is so well prepared and authentic. I love taking out-of-towners there.
What’s your go-to staycation spot and why?
Lately it’s been north to places like Jerome. It’s so eclectic and while perched up on a mountainside, you can easily hit the Verde Valley area for wine and adventures.
How do you stay “cool” in the Arizona summers?
North to Flagstaff and Jerome, and west to California. Or just stay indoors!
What do you like about our winters and why?
Our winter weather affords us so many opportunities to be outside. On January 26th, I hiked in the McDowell Mountains without a shirt. Where else can you do that? I also mountain bike quite a bit, and I don’t have to give it much thought and can just roll out from my home. When you know other metropolises are snowed in or it just hurts to breath in the cold air, it makes being outside in Arizona that much more comfortable.
What do you love most about living in Greater Phoenix?
So many things…weather, great places to gather whether for food or entertainment. Additionally, in the grand scheme of things, our traffic and road conditions are really not that bad, plus our city grid is very easy to navigate. We also have six major sports here plus the university system, all of which I’m a big fan of.
