GPEC President and CEO Chris Camacho has been named to the newly formed Economic Innovation Group Policy Council, joining nearly a dozen national leaders. The Economic Innovation Group, based in Washington, D.C., is an advocacy organization whose mission is to empower entrepreneurs and investors to build a more dynamic U.S. economy. “It is an incredible honor to be named to the Economic Innovation Group Policy Council,” said Camacho, president and CEO of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council. “The members of the Council are some of the sharpest minds in the country, with incredible backgrounds that will lend to critical thinking around apolitical policies that foster innovative growth in our country. Silicon Valley-based technology company Gainsight has announced an expansion to Greater Phoenix, AZ.

Gainsight expands operations to Phoenix

Silicon Valley-based technology company Gainsight has announced an expansion to Phoenix. The company, focused on customer success, will headquarter its corporate marketing at the 111 W. Monroe building in downtown Phoenix. Gainsight was named 48th on this year’s Inc. Magazine’s fastest growing private companies list, recording a 252% year-over-year growth in the past quarter. “This movement of fast-growing tech companies, such as Gainsight, expanding out of California is ultimately tied to the availability of a skilled workforce and strong tech culture in the Greater Phoenix region,” said Chris Camacho, president and CEO of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council. “We are excited to Gainsight continue its growth in this market, further adding to the next generation of tech in Greater Phoenix.” Read the full release.

Cenlar FSB expands nationally with Arizona facility

November 19, 2015

Cenlar FSB, a privately-owned wholesale savings bank and the nation’s leading loan servicing provider, will be opening its first location outside of New Jersey with a West Coast Operations Center in Tempe. Cenlar is actively recruiting for the facility, planning to hire 460 employees by the end of year one. “The Greater Phoenix region is outpacing the national average in growth in the financial services industry, which is evident with the announcement from Cenlar to expand to Tempe with a new West Coast Operations Center,” said Chris Camacho, president and CEO of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council. “We have a strong, skilled workforce in the region that is ready and prepared for the several hundred new jobs this exciting announcement brings.” Read the full release here.

PAC Worldwide expands to west Phoenix

August 11, 2015

PAC Worldwide, a manufacturer of flexible protective packaging, has opened a manufacturing location in Phoenix. The company also has manufacturing and distribution facilities in Ohio, Mexico and Malaysia with more than 700 people currently employed, and the new Phoenix facility will add more than 50 jobs.“The quick access to California creates an advantageous market for manufacturing, coupled with a large talented technical labor force and pro-business environment found in Greater Phoenix," said Chris Camacho, president & CEO of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council. Zenefits continues rapid growth with new office in...

Last fall, Zenefits announced its first major expansion out of San Francisco, as the company looked to further grow its operations. Mt. Baker Vapor to move operations to Mesa

One of the world’s largest online e-liquid producers and retailers, Mt. Baker Vapor, has officially announced their plans to relocate from Bellingham, Wash. to Mesa, Ariz. The decision came after the state of Washington introduced two bills that if passed would tax the sale of vaping equipment and ban online sales. “Mt. Arvato digital services leases 33,048 SF in Chandler

Arvato Digital Services, LLC, a subsidiary of the multi-billion dollar multinational mass media company Bertelsmann, has signed a six year lease for office space at the San Tan Tech Center in Chandler.
