Dr. Max Wilson

Water Resources Management Advisor, City of Phoenix

Dr. Max Wilson is the Water Resources Management Advisor for the City of Phoenix where he advises Mayor, Council, and City leadership on water resource issues and is responsible for developing and implementing the City’s water resource strategy. Max previously served as Deputy Water Services Director and Water Conservation Coordinator. Prior to joining the City, Max was the Sustaining Flows Manager at Friends of the Verde River, where he worked to promote sustainability in Phoenix’s headwaters by keeping the Verde River healthy and flowing. Max holds BS, MS, and PhD degrees in Biology from Arizona State University, where he studied a variety of land and water planning issues from the Tibetan Plateau to Beijing and Shanghai.
