Shelly Zemeckis
Regional Manager, Economic and Industrial Development, Union Pacific Railroad
Shelly is currently Regional Manager Network Economic Industrial Development within the Marketing and Sales Organization at Union Pacific Railroad in Phoenix, a position she has held since April 2017, covering AZ, NM, UT, and the Greater El Paso, TX region. She began her career with Union Pacific Railroad in September 1995 as a management trainee and held several positions within the headquarters location in Omaha, NE prior to relocating to Arizona in May 2000, where she continued in various Industrial Products Marketing and Sales roles. Shelly currently serves as a Director with the Pinal Partnership; Advisory Transportation Committee for EDCUtah; an Ambassador with GPEC (Greater Phoenix Economic Council); a member of AAED and Borderplex Alliance. Previously, she was Executive Secretary and Treasurer of the Board for The American Copper Council (ACC).
Shelly graduated with a BSBA from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (1995), and an MBA from Creighton University (2000). She has also earned her CTL (Certified in Transportation and Logistics) through the American Society of Transportation and Logistics.
Shelly is the proud mother of two children and resides with her husband Mark in Chandler. She has been actively involved throughout her community having served as the PTO Co-President at Hancock Elementary in Chandler; Ambassador Emeritus within the Fiesta Bowl Organization; a Cantor and Choir Member at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Chandler; a Sustainer with the Junior League of Phoenix; and member of the Phoenix Alumnae Chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta. Shelly is a native of North Platte, NE and proud graduate of St. Patrick’s High School.
