Representing an over $60 million capital investment, KoMiCo’s new facility will create over 200 new jobs

MESA, Ariz. (Jan. 12, 2026) – KoMiCo, a global leader in precision cleaning and advanced coatings in the semiconductor industry, today celebrated the opening of its new state-of-the-art facility for advanced semiconductor equipment parts cleaning, coating and repair in Mesa, Arizona. The facility will initially create 50 jobs, with over 200 total new jobs created over the next several years.

KoMiCo America and Global executives were joined by local government, economic development and community leaders to celebrate the ribbon cutting of the new facility including City of Mesa Mayor Mark Freeman, the Arizona Commerce Authority and the Greater Phoenix Economic Council.

The 125,000-square-foot facility includes multiple cleanrooms, a wide range of cutting edge equipment, and a robust suite of diagnostic tools. Representing an over $60 million capital investment, the Mesa facility marks KoMiCo’s third location in the U.S. and 10th location globally.

“KoMiCo’s expansion into Arizona reflects both the growth of our business and our belief in the region’s talent and technology ecosystem,” said James Jin, CEO of KoMiCo America. “It also allows us to be closer to our customers, respond faster to their needs, and provide the level of support required in today’s demanding semiconductor manufacturing environment. We’re proud to create new jobs, invest in local capabilities, and build a foundation that supports U.S. semiconductor manufacturing and our employees for years to come.”

KoMiCo leads the industry with a dedicated R&D division and innovation driven by partnerships with their customers. This facility will be outfitted to provide services to current fabs and the fabs of the future, including EUV and <1nm tech nodes.

With sites in the U.S., South Korea, Singapore, China and Taiwan, KoMiCo is a strategic supplier to all of its customers, including the largest fab clusters in the world. The company excels in providing precision cleaning and coating services. KoMiCo employs a myriad of processes, each stringently controlled to meet or exceed customer specifications. Utilizing high-performance metrology equipment and particle measurement systems within clean-room environments, KoMiCo ensures that the cleaned parts are free from any form of impactful contamination. Their expertise in processing parts with fast turn-around times significantly reduces the downtime of fab tools.

“KoMiCo’s new Mesa facility marks a significant addition to Arizona’s rapidly expanding semiconductor supply chain,” said Sandra Watson, President and CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority. “With its advanced precision‑cleaning and coating capabilities—and more than 200 new skilled jobs—this facility highlights why Arizona has become the premier destination in the U.S. for semiconductor investment.”

“The strength of Greater Phoenix’s semiconductor ecosystem rests on its supply chain, and the opening of KoMiCo’s facility allows for more efficiencies and partnerships in the production process,” said Greater Phoenix Economic Council President & CEO Christine Mackay. “Mesa’s growth as an advantageous operating market is helping accelerate continued development of the company, region and industry.”

“Mesa is rapidly becoming a premier destination for semiconductor investment thanks to our highly skilled workforce, robust infrastructure, and supportive business environment. KoMiCo’s commitment to our City affirms our strategic standing in this industry,” said Mayor Mark Freeman. “We’re honored to welcome KoMiCo to Mesa and to see southeast Mesa advance as a hub for manufacturing and innovation.”

“KoMiCo’s new facility is a big win for Mesa and another sign that southeast Mesa is becoming a key part of the semiconductor industry,” said Mesa Vice Mayor Scott Somers. “This investment brings specialized capabilities to clean, coat and repair critical equipment parts, and it will help support the high-tech growth we’re seeing across the region. KoMiCo plans to grow from 50 jobs to more than 200 in the years ahead—exactly the kind of high-skill opportunity we want for Mesa residents.”
