NRS’ first logistics facility in the United States will emphasize semiconductor and battery materials

CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (May 28, 2025) — NRS Logios America, a leading chemical-logistics company providing transport, storage and distribution, and asset leasing services for the chemical and industrial markets, announced today the opening of its Chemical Logistic Park in Casa Grande.

A joint venture company between NRS Corporation and the Japan Overseas Infrastructure Investment Corporation for Transport & Urban Development (JOIN), NRS Logios America’s facility was built on a 40-acre site on the southwest corner of Ethington and Illinois roads. It is the company’s first logistics location in the U.S.

The park will include a 67,680 square-foot chemical warehouse, a 9,467 square-foot gas pad, an ISO container storage yard and an ISO tank container maintenance facility. The facility will function as a comprehensive logistics hub, delivering a broad spectrum of logistics services with a particular emphasis on semiconductor and battery materials, both of which are experiencing a substantial growth in demand.

“With this facility, we are dedicated to solving the complex needs of the semiconductor industry. Arizona has drawn attention as a center of innovation, and in Casa Grande and the state, we found the best partners to construct a safe, reliable chemical logistics facility that can help power the future and the world,” said NRS Logios America President Yuichi Sato. “We are thrilled to share this moment with you — a reminder of what’s possible when vision meets dedication. We look forward to building a strong future together.”

With a total investment of $90 million, the facility is equipped with gas pads and dedicated storage areas compliant with hazard classifications for flammable, corrosive and other specialized chemicals utilized in semiconductor and battery manufacturing processes.

NRS has begun its next phases of expansion, which includes additional rail infrastructure and temperature-controlled storage areas. At full buildout, the company expects to hire 100 employees. There are currently 30 employees.

“Casa Grande is thrilled to welcome NRS Logios as they grow their presence in our community,” said Mayor Lisa Fitzgibbons. “As a leader in their field, NRS will play a vital role in supporting the booming semiconductor industry. We are excited to have them join us in building a stronger local economy and highlighting Casa Grande as a great place for innovation and industry success.”

NRS Logios will address the emerging needs of the market with global semiconductor leaders like TSMC and Intel and battery factories such as LG Energy Solution and Li-Cycle operating in Greater Phoenix. In addition, Casa Grande has experienced rapid growth in recent years, attracting notable companies including battery recycler Ecobat and semiconductor suppliers including Chang Chun.

“NRS’s expansive new facility, their first in the U.S., reflects Arizona’s rapid industrial growth,” said Sandra Watson, President and CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority. “A global chemical logistics leader, NRS will play a critical role in strengthening Arizona’s semiconductor and battery industry supply chains, and we’re grateful for the company’s commitment to Arizona.”

“As Greater Phoenix’s semiconductor and battery supply chains expand and evolve, NRS creates a competitive advantage by providing essential, specialized services and supply chain proximity,” said Greater Phoenix Economic Council President & CEO Chris Camacho. “Casa Grande’s strategic location adds unprecedented accessibility to key partners and illustrates the growing strength of Pinal County as a hub for transformational industry ecosystems.”

Established in 1946 as an equipment supplier and logistics servicer in Japan, NRS Logistics specializes in basic and specialty chemicals, electric-grade and high-purity chemicals, pharmaceutical chemicals, food/additives and general cargos. The company employs about 1,100 people over 40 global locations. The Casa Grande location is its fourth U.S. location and first logistics hub in the country, joining the company’s office locations in Phoenix, White Plains, N.Y. and Houston.
