The dynamic dashboard empowers the Greater Phoenix startup ecosystem with key industry insights

PHOENIX (April 5, 2024) — Today, Freeway proudly announces the launch of the groundbreaking Startup Ecosystem Dashboard, powered by StartupAZ, in collaboration with the City of Phoenix, and the Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC). This comprehensive tool marks a pivotal moment in fostering innovation, collaboration and growth in the heart of Greater Phoenix.

As Greater Phoenix strengthens its standing as a premier hub for startups and entrepreneurs, the introduction of the real-time innovation ecosystem dashboard signifies a significant advancement in establishing the region’s burgeoning startup ecosystem as a major player on the national scale. The attraction of investment capital, new ventures, and top-tier talent is fundamental to driving the growth and longevity of Arizona’s innovation-driven economy.

Through this dynamic platform, developed by Dealroom, users can explore the intricacies of Greater Phoenix’s ecosystem, exploring key metrics such as total valuation, startup funding across various stages, emerging industries, and top-performing startups identified through predictive signals. By offering transparency and actionable intelligence, this innovative dashboard will serve as a catalyst for attracting investment dollars, new startups and top-tier talent to the region.

“This dashboard is a testament to the power of collaboration and innovation,” said Daniela Santangelo, Director of Community at StartupAZ and Founder of Freeway. “Our aim is to foster transparency, stimulate investment, and facilitate strategic decision-making through a unified platform accessible to all.”

A group of people sit at a long table while, on the right side, a few more are on couches. They listed to a speaker at the front of the room, standing in front of a large screen displaying zoom guests.

“Phoenix has a booming startup ecosystem that continues to grow and evolve in many different disciplines. Creating a central location to track information on the startup market, that is easily accessible and has real-time information will only benefit our business community,” said Phoenix Community and Economic Development Director Christine Mackay.

“The surge in funding and entrepreneurship activity in Greater Phoenix showcases how the region is becoming a hotbed for prop-tech, edtech, fintech, bioscience and climate tech,” said GPEC President & CEO Chris Camacho. “This dashboard will activate the capabilities of founders and investors to work in tandem and further catalyze sector growth.”
