Who is an Ambassador?
An Ambassador is an employee of a company or community that currently invests in GPEC at any level and participates in GPEC’s event programming, called the Ambassador Program. These events primarily feature industry experts who educate and inform our Ambassadors on a variety of economic development topics and provide opportunities for networking. Ambassadors then become an extension of the GPEC staff in helping communicate, educate and inform stakeholders, policy makers, citizens and media about regional economic development issues and initiatives.
Who is a Certified Ambassador?
An individual Ambassador who attends five or more events throughout a fiscal year will become recognized as a GPEC “Certified” Ambassador, gaining access to additional events and tours that happen on a quarterly basis. Certified Ambassadors need to attend five events throughout the fiscal year to maintain certification. Many of our Certified Ambassadors show their enthusiasm by adding their “GPEC Certified Ambassador” title and initial year of certification to their email signature.
How many people from my organization can attend GPEC’s Ambassador event?
The Ambassador Program is open to any interested employee of an organization that invests in GPEC – the more the merrier! We just need their contact information so that they receive invitations and can submit RSVPs.

Ambassador Objectives:
- Raise awareness about key economic development issues and GPEC’s efforts to drive regional brand, business attraction, and competitiveness.
- Help shape GPEC’s influence as a regional thought leader.
- Cultivate a robust partnership network.
- Support GPEC’s business attraction efforts by serving as a connector to prospective companies interested in locating to the region.
- Champion efforts that support regional economic development initiatives.
