Spirit of Greater Phoenix: Honoring Our Past, Innovating Our Future
We invite Arizona artists of all mediums to submit work for our upcoming exhibit, “Spirit of Greater Phoenix,” an exploration of the dynamic character of the region. This exhibition seeks to uncover and celebrate the intrinsic qualities that define Greater Phoenix — its history, diversity, resilience and forward momentum. Artists are encouraged to submit work that explores the multifaceted identity of our community, honoring the rich heritage of the region and celebrating the dynamic future we are collectively shaping. This may include, but is not limited to:
- Portraits: Iconic figures who have influenced Greater Phoenix
- Historical Roots: Depictions of pivotal events and foundational moments that shaped our community
- Urban and Natural Harmony: Art that captures the relationship between the region’s urban development and its surrounding natural beauty
- Conceptual Pieces: Explorations of themes related to heritage, innovation and the dynamic relationship between the past and the future
Through your artistic lens, help us tell the story of Greater Phoenix and inspire future generations.

This exhibit will show in a hybrid format with a limited number of the selected pieces on display at GPEC’s downtown Phoenix office and the remainder shown in a virtual space. Although the office is not open to the public, various private events bring viewers into the space. Artists will have the opportunity to indicate their preferred display environment when submitting work. Those showcased in the physical space are welcome to visit once the installation is complete. All selected artists will be invited to attend the exhibit opening. Further details will be sent at a later time.
The exhibit is scheduled to run from Nov. 1, 2024 – April 30, 2025.
