Greater Phoenix: Every Drop
Artists are invited to explore the people, places, systems, and stories that sustain life in the desert. From ancient waterways and monsoon skies to modern infrastructure and agricultural innovation, Every Drop examines the vital role water plays in shaping Greater Phoenix. The exhibition celebrates both the natural and human ingenuity that allows communities to thrive in an arid landscape.
Works Might Express:
- Water and landscape — rivers, reservoirs, watersheds, monsoons, and the desert environment.
- Connection and community — the ways water supports neighborhoods, cultures, and daily life.
- Innovation and stewardship — conservation, technology, agriculture, and sustainable water management.
- History and heritage — Indigenous knowledge, historic waterways, and the region’s relationship with water over time.
- Resilience and future vision — imagining how Greater Phoenix will adapt and flourish for generations to come.

Submission Requirements
- Must be an Arizona resident
- Only pieces available for in-person display will be considered
- Images must be submitted as JPEG files at 300 dpi (limit four per artist)
- Each submission must include a description of the piece (250 words or fewer)
- Artists may choose to make their work available for purchase. If purchased, all sales will be handled directly between the artist and buyer, with 100% of proceeds going to the artist
- Pieces containing profanity or nudity will not be considered
- All paintings, photography, prints, and other flat works must have a wire backing installed prior to drop-off and be ready to hang on our gallery track system
Deadline: Sept. 30
This exhibit will not have an additional hybrid component beyond the selected pieces on display at GPEC’s downtown Phoenix office. Although the office is not open to the public, various private events bring viewers into the space. Those showcased in the physical space are welcome to visit once the installation is complete. All selected artists will be invited to attend the exhibit opening. Further details will be sent at a later time.
The exhibit is scheduled to run from Nov. 2, 2026 – April 30, 2027
