Albert Plantillas is a research and analytics intern at GPEC. His past experience includes six years of economics research and four years of nonprofit administration supporting executive leadership, coordinating cross-sector initiatives, and conducting policy analysis across Arizona. His work spans local governance, economic development strategy, workforce pipeline initiatives, and stakeholder engagement between public-sector and nonprofit environments.
Albert holds a Bachelor of Science in Politics and the Economy with minors in Public Administration and History from Arizona State University and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Policy. His academic background includes business statistics, econometrics, and public finance, which inform his data-driven approach to problem-solving at GPEC. He also serves in the ASU Graduate Student Government as Director of Legislative and Political Advocacy, where he supports governance bodies and coordinates multi-stakeholder and community-based initiatives.
Hailing from the border town of San Luis, AZ, he typically enjoys traveling between the four corners border region (Arizona, California, Baja California, and Sonora) on a regular basis. His hobbies include skating, playing bass and guitar, as well as finding the best trails and swimming holes in the state.
