Joshua Wills-King, GPEC’s Vice President of Aerospace and Defense, brings a background that bridges national security, emerging technology and business strategy, most recently serving at the Defense Innovation Unit’s (DIU) Arizona Hub, where he advanced emerging technology initiatives for the Department of War.
Before DIU, Joshua was an asset manager with Lone Mountain Land Company in Big Sky, Montana, where he focused on real estate development and community management. With deep experience in business development and technology transfer, Joshua has a keen interest in quantum, biotechnology and advanced warfighting concepts.
He holds an M.S. in intelligence from Johns Hopkins University and a B.A. in philosophy and GIS from UC Santa Cruz. He also conducted research at the University of Cambridge. Joshua is an Arizona native and spends free time surfing, skiing and backpacking. On the rare cloudy day in Arizona, he likes to listen to jazz and read science and technology journals. He rowed crew at Orange Coast College for two years and loves to spend time traveling and exploring the U.S. with his family.
