Logan Newman, the Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC) marketing and communications manager, focuses on media engagement centered on local channels and the Asia-Pacific region, website build and management, and strengthening GPEC’s digital presence with long-form writing and search engine and web content optimization.
During his time at GPEC, Logan has built out webpages as part of award-winning programs including the industry overview use case documents and GPEC’s omnichannel campaign #AZFreeToBe, recognized for excellence in integrated marketing tactics by several award organizations. He worked with Arizona and Taiwanese media to secure placements relevant to GPEC activity, and writes posts for the website on a variety of subjects ranging from Arizona water and clean energy to public transportation and local industry ecosystems.
Logan initially joined GPEC as an intern in 2020. Prior to joining the organization, he worked for USA Today Sports Media Group, KTAR News and ArizonaSports.com and interned at the Arizona Republic and Jerusalem Post. An Arizona native, he graduated from ASU’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication in 2017 with a degree in journalism.
In Arizona, he enjoys finding scenic views around the state, attending sporting events and searching for the best Mexican food the Valley has to offer.
