Mark Paratore joined the Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC) in April 2020 and serves as Vice President of Business Development. He is dedicated to strengthening Greater Phoenix’s position as a global leader in innovation, entrepreneurship, and investment by advancing the region’s startup and venture ecosystem. Mark plays a critical role in expanding access to venture capital and supporting high-growth companies as they establish, test, and scale within Greater Phoenix’s dynamic business environment.
With over a decade of experience in economic development, Mark previously led business development efforts for the City of Scottsdale and started his career with the City of Glendale. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Planning from Arizona State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
In 2025, Mark was recognized as a Development Counsellors International (DCI) 40 Under 40 honoree, celebrating his impact as an influential leader in economic development. Passionate about community building, arts, and culture, he remains committed to giving back and fostering meaningful connections throughout the region.
