Maureen Howell joined the Greater Phoenix Economic Council in 2014 and currently serves as the Vice President of Research and Strategy. Her responsibilities include supporting the organization’s strategic initiatives and business development activities through research and analysis of the region’s competitive position, fiscal analysis, and economic development policy.
Prior to joining GPEC, Maureen spent one year as a research analyst for the Arizona State University Healthcare Delivery and Policy Program where she conducted analysis on innovative healthcare providers, healthcare outcomes and policy across the U.S. and internationally. Maureen also spent time working in government relations and regulatory affairs in the private sector, and as research staff for both the U.S. Census Bureau and the Arizona House of Representatives.
A Phoenix native, Maureen attended the University of Arizona where she acquired a bachelor’s degree in both history and secondary education. In 2012 Maureen attained a master’s degree in public policy from Arizona State University.
