New metropolitan Phoenix export plan will help region’s...

A regional export plan for Greater Phoenix has been unveiled. The export plan assesses Greater Phoenix’s export climate, sets market-based goals for increasing exports and outlines specific steps that will be taken to promote the region’s economic development efforts. The plan will be overseen by the Metro Phoenix Export Alliance, a new organization composed of C-level industry executives, state leaders and university experts. “With this export plan, Greater Phoenix is acting on what our research shows is untapped potential to grow the region’s economy and support higher-quality jobs,” said Marek Gootman, Brookings director of strategic partnerships and global initiatives.Read more.

Booker expands operations to Scottsdale

Booker, the leading platform for service commerce, will be expanding to Scottsdale. Arvato digital services leases 33,048 SF in Chandler

Arvato Digital Services, LLC, a subsidiary of the multi-billion dollar multinational mass media company Bertelsmann, has signed a six year lease for office space at the San Tan Tech Center in Chandler. REI to open distribution facility in Goodyear

Tuesday Morning opens distribution center in southwest...

Upscale discount retailer Tuesday Morning is opening a distribution center in southwest Phoenix that is expected to create 300 new jobs. The Dallas-based company’s move marks one of the biggest Valley lease deals since 2011, and will be renting 593,600 square feet of space near 67th Avenue and Buckeye Road from Liberty Property Trust."After evaluating numerous markets in the Western U.S., Tuesday Morning selected Greater Phoenix to operate a nearly 600,000 square foot logistics center," said Chris Camacho, president and CEO of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council. San Francisco-based boomtown! expands to Scottsdale

Boomtown is the latest tech company out of California to announce their plans to expand operations to Scottsdale. The company, which fixes everyday merchant technology problems in real time, provides on-demand installation and support of in-store technology in order to reduce business costs, increase revenue and prevent loss of sales.“Greater Phoenix has a larger base of qualified software workers than any other market in the mountain region, and is poised to grow by 14 percent over the next five years,” said Chris Camacho, president and CEO of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council. “The availability of talent coupled with a competitive operating environment, continues to draw companies like Boomtown! to the region. OutboundEngine expands to Scottsdale for regional sales...

OutBound Engine, based in Austin, announced that it will expand its operations to Old Town Scottsdale.
