Stephane Frijia joined the Greater Phoenix Economic Council in 2011. As Senior Vice President of Strategy and Research, Stephane Frijia leads the formulation of strategic initiatives and programs, in alignment with GPEC’s mission and action plan. He also leads the development of new, innovative research capabilities to support domestic and international business attraction efforts and marketing.
Mr. Frijia is also responsible for developing and overseeing GPEC’s international strategy, in coordination with the International Leadership Council, which is composed of prominent business leaders and elected officials. In this role, he works with a team of business development experts to provide support to international companies with market analysis and site-selection assistance as they expand into the region. Mr. Frijia manages foreign-based contractors for business development in key target markets. Mr. Frijia is also responsible for developing and managing the Greater Phoenix Global Growth Accelerator, a program designed to help international firms accelerate their U.S. growth plans by providing a low-risk, expert-guided, soft-landing platform to do business in the U.S.
Stephane earned a master’s degree in urban and environmental planning and a bachelor’s degree in aeronautical management technology from Arizona State University. Originally from Italy, Stephane currently resides in Phoenix with his wife. He is fluent in Italian, French and English.
